Today, I undertook a challenging yet essential task at a factory in Scunthorpe, focusing on unblocking and removing hardened cement from a clogged drain. The issue arose in a key section of the facility, where the drainage system had been compromised due to a build-up of cement residue, significantly affecting operations. Using high-pressure water jetting, I tackled the blockage with precision and efficiency. This method involved deploying a specialised jetting machine capable of delivering water at extremely high pressures to break down and flush away the hardened cement. The process required careful planning to ensure the safety of the equipment and personnel, as well as the structural integrity of the drain itself.

The initial stages were particularly demanding, as the cement had solidified in multiple layers, requiring strategic angling and varying water pressures to dislodge it effectively.
